Cramer Toyota of Venice donates $150 dollars to the Venice Area Historical Society’s upcoming fundraising event. Cramer Toyota of Venice shares the passion of preserving our fine city with the Venice Historical Society. According to Cramer Toyota’s General Manager Richard Bond, “Venice has so much to offer as a place to work, live and play. Venice has more to offer then great beaches and beautiful sunsets. We hope our donation will help preserve our city and its past for future generations.” According to The Venice Area Historical Society’s website, this region, while being known for its wonderful, accessible beaches and sharks teeth, also features:
• Superb “New Urbanism” John Nolen planning design
• Northern Italian architectural structures
• World War II Venice Army Air Field
• Strong leadership traditions of Bertha Potter Palmer, Dr. Fred Albee, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers
• Winter homes of the Kentucky Military Institute and Ringling Brothers Circus
• Pioneer 19th century homesteads with cattle, fishing, agriculture, turpentine, sawmill, boat building, railroad, and fishing enterprises
• Venice Inter-coastal Waterway, bays, and the wild Myakka River
Richard Bond further states, “Cramer Toyota of Venice donates money to lots of organizations, within our community. This donation is special in that it helps preserve our past for the future.” The story of Venice is being preserved for future generations because of the work of the Venice Area Historical Society.
